The task

The traditional method of value investing required investors to spend time manually collecting relevant financial data from various sources and analyzing it in programs such as Excel. This process is not only labor-intensive, but also error-prone, which affects investment decisions. To solve this challenge, we have developed a specialized tool for Bavarian Value that revolutionizes the investment process: Stox Box.

Our solution approach

For the individual analysis of companies, we have developed a user interface that allows users to create and manage their own grading templates. This allows the basic company key figures to be graded and weighted according to the user's preferences.

These grading templates can then be applied to data from almost 3,000 companies to determine their key performance indicators (KPIs) for company analysis. In order to keep an eye on the development of the analyzed companies, the overall scores of these KPI analyses can be tracked over the years.

By integrating all the necessary information in a user-friendly interface, Stox Box enables a quick and precise analysis of undervalued stocks. Designed as Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), it helps investors to make informed decisions more efficiently.

Automatic data import

Stox Box is based on a collection of company key figures and share prices. This raw data is automatically obtained via external interfaces (API) and processed in a microservice. They serve as the basis for constantly updated key figure analyses.

Subscription model with automatic payment processing

The payment service provider Stripe was connected to handle the subscription model behind Stox Box. Users can switch between different plans: The paid Stox Box Blue and the free Stox Box Light with limited functions.

Individual key figure analyses

With the existing templates and the imported company data, individual key figure analyses can now be created in no time at all that correspond exactly to the user's criteria. These analyses can then serve as the basis for investment decisions.
